Why is it that we love football so much? For me, I think it has a lot to do with a competitive spirit that has not subsided since childhood. In the elementary days, the football field was the one place where you could hit somebody, take their ball from them and then get praised for doing a great job. There’s nothing else like it in the world. Many of us dreamed of playing with the big boys in middle school and high school. Those days were amazing too. The frustrations of life could be reserved for the field. How many other places can you think of where intelligence, skill and brute force all come together collectively while still encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork? Again, I love football! And now, while many of us are blessed with wonderful lives, we still get a total thrill out of cheering others on as they live the life we once lived.
